The DELTA Lab emerges from the need to explore the intersections between digital technologies and design in language teaching and learning. In an increasingly digitized world, design transcends its traditional role, becoming an essential tool for developing pedagogical practices that empower teachers and learners to (re)construct meanings, languages, and media.

By reflecting on the integration of design into educational practices, the lab seeks to foster a critical and engaged approach to language education, emphasizing autonomy and creativity for all participants. It aims to bring together faculty and undergraduate and graduate students in a collaborative space where design functions as a transformative resource for language education.

Focusing on the analysis of models, tools, and experiences in design-based activities for integrating technology into language learning, the lab intends to contribute to the development of innovative pedagogical practices that are aligned with the demands of contemporary technological contexts.

sabIÁ is a platform for curating and exploring artificial intelligence tools applied to language teaching and learning. Designed as an accessible, educational, and collaborative space, sabIÁ allows students, educators, and curious minds to discover useful technological resources for language practices, with a focus on reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, text planning, translation, and more.

Inspired by the curious song of the sabiá (thrush), the project values discovery, diversity, and thoughtful sharing of knowledge.
